metamorphosis
October, 2026
There is something beautiful about the hidden seasons of life. The quiet, unseen spaces where what once was begins to fall away, making room for what is yet to become. During metamorphosis, a caterpillar enters its chrysalis, where much of its former structure breaks down and begins to transform. Within this seemingly still and fragile space, an extraordinary transformation is taking place. What appears to be an ending is, in fact, the beginning of something entirely new.
Metamorphosis was born out of my own season of cocooning. A season of solitude, surrender, and learning to embrace the unknown. A year of shedding, of letting go of things I once held closely, of familiar places, expectations, and versions of myself I thought would always be. I’ve found myself drawn to the mystery of becoming, and the idea that even when nothing appears to be happening, something beautiful may be unfolding beneath the surface.
Through rich, earthy tones, deep shadows, and unexpected bursts of color, this collection explores the space between unraveling and emerging. The tension between letting go of what has been and making room for what is to come. Perhaps there is purpose in the hidden places. Perhaps the unraveling is part of the becoming. And perhaps, all along, new life has been quietly taking shape.
My hope is that these paintings offer a moment to reflect on the beauty of your own becoming. To find wonder in the unknown, courage in the letting go, and hope in the quiet promise that something new is taking shape.
