Gardening has always been a teacher for me and when painting this collection, I was thinking on themes of planting and pruning. What do we want to produce more of in our lives? What is getting in the way of that growth? How can we cultivate our minds and hearts to make more space for love? It takes a lot of hard work to really tend to a garden and see it thrive - otherwise, weeds (like lies and false beliefs) will run rampant.

When we root ourselves in love, we will see that those seeds never perish and will actually have the power to push out the old that no longer serve us or the future we are creating and walking into.

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Ephesians 3:17
